Dear Residents and Fellows
I’m proud to introduce to this new website, www.KingsofMedicine.com. The purpose of this site is to:
- Be useful every day as you work
- Create a space for ongoing academic inquiry learning and reflection
- Inform and recruit potential applicants to our residency program
I am hoping accomplish the first goal by putting in this one place many of the scattered resources that we use every day, from schedules to forms and guidelines, as well as tutorials on how to go about every day tasks.
To achieve the second goal we will be starting a blog. The blog will be a place to post interesting cases, important new papers and publications, as well as reviewing fundamental principals that we could all use brushing up on. It is meant to be a fun and dynamic place. Submissions will come from both residents and fellows, and be screened by an advisory attending prior to publication.
The last goal, to inform and recruit new residents, will in part be met by the first two goals. Applicants who are able to see the incredible pathology and high quality residents and faculty posting on the blog will want to join us.
I am finishing residency in 3 months, and I am looking for good, motivated people to work on this project with me. As it grows in time, I’m sure it would be a great addition to a CV as well as a way to get the most out of residency. If you’re interested, please email me at my downstate email.
